Medvo guides you through the complexities of medical bills and health insurance through pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
Helping new parents navigate medical bills
New parents have enough on their plates.
Caring for a newborn and recovering from childbirth is hard enough. You shouldn't have to spend your limited energy deciphering medical bills and fighting with hospital billing departments.
But medical billing is a mess. Charges are spread across multiple providers, buried in clunky online portals, and written in jargon that's nearly impossible to decode. And mistakes like duplicate charges or incorrect billing happen more often than you'd think.
Fixing medical bills shouldn't be your job.
Even when new parents spot an error, getting it resolved is a headache. Long hold times, unanswered emails, and customer service reps who can't (or won't) help.
Many people pay bills they know are wrong just to make the problem go away. You shouldn't have to.
Medvo can review your bills, flag errors, and deal with providers on your behalf.
"I was at a very vulnerable time during pregnancy and immediately postpartum. I just felt like I had kind of been taken advantage of financially at a time when I couldn't muster the energy to fight back."
“I was at wits’ end, and I didn’t know how to fight this anymore”
“I was getting bills from the lab, I was getting bills from the hospital, I was getting bills from the medical group, I was getting bills from radiology. It was a full-time job trying to figure it out, and I’m trying to keep my babies alive.”

If you upload insurance documents as well, Medvo will also cross-reference them against your bills to spot mismatches.

Medical billing still relies heavily on manual data entry and outdated systems, which makes mistakes a regular occurrence.
Maternity care is especially prone to errors because it involves multiple providers, separate charges for mother and baby, and bills that trickle in over months.
With all that complexity, issues like double-billing happen more often than you’d think.
