Frequently asked questions

Uploading bills and getting a clear, easy-to-understand review is always free, with no limits on how many bills you can submit.
If we find a billing error, you can opt for Medvo to resolve it on your behalf for a small success fee. You only pay if we actually lower your bill.

Medvo charges 15% on the first $1,000 in savings, and 5% on anything above that, with a total fee cap of $2,000. If we don't save you money, you pay nothing.
For example, if Medvo lowers your bill by $5,000, the fee would be $350. That's $150 (15%) on the first $1,000, plus $200 (5%) on the remaining $4,000.

Go for it! If we flag an issue, we'll give you the information you need to dispute it on your own at no cost.
Medvo's paid service is there if you'd rather not deal with the problem yourself, but it's never required.
-
Medvo's software uses standardized billing code rules and benchmark pricing data to check your bills for issues like duplicate charges, incorrect codes, and unreasonable prices.
If you upload insurance documents as well, Medvo will also cross-reference them against your bills to spot mismatches.

Medical billing still relies heavily on manual data entry and outdated systems, which makes mistakes a regular occurrence.
Maternity care is especially prone to errors because it involves multiple providers, separate charges for mother and baby, and bills that trickle in over months.
With all that complexity, issues like double-billing happen more often than you’d think.
